My Story

I am a passionate advocate for the people of Scarborough Southwest. Since I arrived in Canada in 2008, I have become deeply rooted in this vibrant community and am committed to social justice and community empowerment. This commitment is deeply personal, fueled by my experiences navigating a new country and my unwavering belief in the power of collective action.

My journey to becoming a community leader began with pursuing higher education. I recognized the urgent need to advocate for undocumented youth at the University of Toronto, where I graduated with a Criminology and Socio-Legal Studies degree and minors in political science and history. I founded an association dedicated to fighting for their right to a legal path to citizenship.

My record of taking action to meet needs continues today. I am currently employed at The Salvation Army Headquarters in the development/estates department while serving as Treasurer at Regent Heights P.S. School Council, working to ensure that all children have access to a quality education. I am an active member of our community and work to protect access to affordable housing. As a member of ACORN, a community organization dedicated to fighting for the rights of low—and moderate-income families, I am currently organizing for my neighbours to fight against the above-guideline rent increases.

I strongly believe that affordable housing, quality healthcare, and education are fundamental rights. I am dedicated to reducing the cost of living and ensuring that the government works for the benefit of Scarborough Southwest and all Canadians and that these rights are possible for all Canadians.

I am prepared to amplify the voices of her community, advocate for their needs and aspirations and represent Scarborough Southwest as our Member of Parliament. I need your help — join me!
